Schützen - A performance trilogy on bodies shaped by weapons

What happens to a body when it carries weapons? The Danish performance artist Cecilie Ullerup Schmidt combines relaxation yoga, release and thai chi with shooting training in Berlin Schützengemeinschaft von 1882 and the training program for drone pilots from the U.S. Nevada Control Station. She takes the audience on an excursion of the contemporary war-body, from exercise of anthropological soldiers to teenager’s remote-controlled war games, and to a rehabilitation program for ex-soldiers in Israel that learns Arabic three years too late.
