Kolga
Beskrivelse
Kolga is presented by Myllyteatteri from Helsinki in Finland. The performance is a stage interpretation of a poem of the same name by contemporary Finnish poet, Tommi Parkko. Kolga is directed by Miira Sippola.
The poem is inspired by a place called Kolga, on the edge of eastern Europe, where land and the Baltic sea meet. It is a place of rich history, a place where one goes in search of peace.
Combining theatre and circus, jazz and folk music, Kolga is a meaningful and atmospheric production with striking imagery and memorable sound and lighting design. In her work, the director Sippola aims to portray the human mind on stage and has succeeded brilliantly in doing so in this production
