The Lover

The Lover tells the story of a married couple living a financially secure life, which, from the outside, may look rather ordinary. “Is your lover coming today?”, the husband asks casually as he is about to leave for work. As this seems far from ordinary, you may wonder; why is he asking so mysteriously liberal? Is this an open relationship – a way to spice up their love life? As it is revealed that the lover actually is the husband playing the part of the lover, coming home to his wife in his lunch breaks and putting on a role play, this tale presents a classic Pinteresque twist that gives the themes of unfaithfulness and marriage a new dimension.
