Regional arena for contemporary dance (RAS) is Sandnes Kulturhus and Sandnes municipality’s commitment to dance in the Stavanger region.

RAS has a broad program for workshops, lectures, seminars, meetings with dance artists, production and co-productions, dance residencies and presentation of professional dance performances. RAS presents annually a comprehensive program of international, national and regional dance ranging from classical ballet through modern dance to dance theater.

RAS is a regional center for dance that also has a positive result for the dance on a national level.

As a production unit RAS offers cooperation at different levels for professional companies, dance artists and partners. They produce and co-produce a variety of dance performances, both regional and national.
