Playwright and poet Ntozake Shange whose most acclaimed theatre piece is the 1975 Tony Award-nominated "for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf", now makes its premiere in Denmark. The play is an innovative combination of poetry, drama, music, and dance that tells the stories of seven women who have suffered oppression in a racist and sexist society but also celebrates their lives, their vitality, their colorfulness thus making the piece ultimately uplifting
